Eddie Murphy Takes Ogre

May 18, 10 Eddie Murphy Takes Ogre

Shrek Forever AfterShrek took ‘Ogre’ LA (see what we did there) for the premiere of his latest and last instalment of the Shrek Franchise.
Shrek Forever After hits US screens this month and see’s everyone’s favourite Ogre return for another adventure, this time taking on the horrible Rumplestiltskin.
The story this time revolves around a bored and domesticated Shrek that makes a pact with deal-maker Rumpelstiltskin to get back to feeling like a real ogre again, but when he’s duped and sent to a twisted version of Far Far Away — where Rumpelstiltskin is king, ogres are hunted, and he and Fiona have never met — he sets out to restore his world and reclaim his true love.

All eyes at the premiere were not on how many stars could fit onto 1 carpet but on Eddie Murphy and his Ex Mel B who were all in attendance.
Murphy hit the headlines 3 years ago after having a child with Spice Girl Mel B and claiming the child wasn’t his. Even after paternity tests revealed he was the father.

Puss-in-bootsBut after years of estrangement, it appears Murphy and Mel B have finally put their difficulties behind them for the sake of their daughter, (good donkey) and decided to play nice!
Although they weren’t pictured together on the red carpet, the Murphy clan and the Mel B clan were both at the premiere, the first time they have been seen in the same place since their messy split in 2006.
Murphy was surrounded by his seven older children – now that’s 1 expensive Christmas day.
But the whole day wasn’t about the life of Mr Murphy. There was a premiere you know….

Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers and Antonio ‘Puss in boots’ Banderas were all in appearance to celebrate the final in the Shrek Franchise hitting the screens.
Although spin offs are planned such as Puss In Boots own movie (which we cant wait for) this is the last in the Shrek Series.

Other stars on the carpet included Director Steven Spielberg, Travis Barker, Lake Bell, and many more.

Shrek Forever After hits US screen on May 21st with the rest of the world following after.
